Job Description:A satisfying gourmet meal at the end of the day, and a customized menu plan for the most discerning palette is our mandate. We cater to workers in the remote camp sector and are committed to superb food quality and superior lodge management. Our commitment to cleanliness and safety are a priority.

Job duties and responsibilities:
- Meet daily with the Chef / Sous Chef to discuss preparation and production of all baked items.
- Oversee the daily preparation, production, handling, storage, rotation and serving of all baked items. These will include breakfast pastries (muffins, cinnamon buns etc.) Lunch box pastries (cookies, squares, etc.) And main meal desserts (cakes, puddings, pies, Jell-O, etc.).
- Ensure the proper storage, handling and rotation of all stock involved in the production of baked goods as per HACCP / FOOD SAFE approved methods.
- Oversee, direct and be responsible for all subordinate staff involved in the preparation, production, storage and serving of all baked goods.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the bakeshop area, including storage areas, refrigeration areas and all equipment.
- Ensure that food spoilage and waste are kept to a minimum.
- Assist Breakfast Cook with service if required.
- Maintain personal cleanliness and hygiene throughout shift.
- Any other tasks or duties as assigned by the Chef.
- Attend daily tool box meetings
- Report hazards, near misses, incidences, maintenance issues and stock shortages to Chef
Job Qualifications:- A minimum of 5 years large quantity baking experience including First Class Hotel experience.
- The Baker must have lunch room pastry production as well as dining room desert experience.
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Government approved Food Safe Certification
- Standard First Aid with AED Level A or C
- WHMIS Certification (site specific)
