Journeyperson Millwright

Acden Lemax Machining and Welding Incorporated is currently accepting applications for one (1) Journeyperson Millwright. This position will support the clients based out of the Gregoire Industrial Shop in Fort McMurray, Alberta, with the additional expectation to cover project and temporary work on multiple client oil sands sites as needed. Regular shift rotations are Monday to Friday, between 7:30am to 4:00pm; however, hours, schedules and locations may change from time to time due to operational, client and training requirements.

This is a local position to the Fort McMurray, Alberta region.
No accommodations or flights will be provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Install, repair and adjust various types of mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, pulleys and all other mechanical components and auxiliary equipment.
• Complete routine generated work order requests for repairs and services.
• Respond to emergencies
• Perform all required preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and components.
• Apply all codes to preventative maintenance and repairs
• Ensure building standards are maintained
• Perform all work in compliance with established safety procedures and codes.
• Duties as they may arise that would fulfill the mandate of providing excellent service to the client

Qualifications:
• Alberta Certified Journeyman or Interprovincial Red Seal in Millwright trade.
• 5+ years’ experience, (industrial maintenance/construction environment preferred).
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean abstract.
• Must be able to work from heights or confined spaces.
• Highly developed organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent Problem Solving Skills.
• Proven ability to react appropriately in emergency situations.
• Ability to complete all work in compliance with Alberta legislation, regulations and site policies and procedures.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce.
• Strong team player skills and the ability to work independently
• Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Sensitive to issues of confidentiality and compliance.
• Must be physically fit, position involves extensive walking, climbing and awkward positions as well as carrying of materials.


Pre-Employment Requirements:
• Comprehensive Drug, Alcohol and Audiometric pre-employment testing.
• CSTS and OSSA certificates or OSSA BSO certificate.
• Class 5 Driver’s Licence with clean 5-year history driver’s abstract obtained within 30 days.
• Must be able to provide credentials of trade prior to or at the interview stage.
• Must be eligible to work on all Oil Sands sites within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
