Talent Acquisition Recruiter

Acden Holdings LP. is currently accepting applications for one (1) Talent Acquisition Recruiter to support its corporate Human Resources department. The Talent Acquisition Recruiter is responsible for full cycle recruitment including talent sourcing, attracting candidates, interviewing and the hiring process.

This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and will work in conjunction with the hiring managers of the individual business units. This position will be based out of the Acden Taiganova Head Office (220 Taiganova Crescent) in Fort McMurray, Alberta. The position’s schedule will consist of Monday through Friday, however hours and schedules may change due to operational and training requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• The successful candidate will develop and post career advertisements on a daily basis with stakeholders, vendors and with public websites.
• Source and review applications and resumes through online database systems and websites.
• Recommend creative and effective methods of sourcing top talent.
• Conduct preliminary screenings over the phone and in person.
• Assess candidate talents through knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA).
• Schedule, coordinate and conduct interviews with hiring managers from multiple Acden business units.
• Conduct reference checks to verify applicants’ certifications and credentials.
• Draft and present offer letters to prospective candidates in numerous trades and occupations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory procedures and guidelines throughout the hiring process.
• Assist in the development of programs to support the slowing down attrition rates across all Acden business units.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and adjust HR recruitment strategies when required.

Job Qualifications:**Candidates are required to apply at and fill out an Online Application**

• Minimum three (3) years of full-cycle recruitment experience (oil sands / heavy industrial recruitment a strong asset).
• Human Resources Management Diploma or Certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation is considered a strong asset.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract (less than 30 days).
• Experienced with recruitment software (human resources information/management systems).
• Familiar with applicant tracking systems and/or Candidate Management Systems (CMS).
• Aboriginal Awareness Training is considered a strong asset.
• Knowledge of the Alberta Employment Standards Code (ESC).
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• Proven Human Resources administration experience.
• Strong team player skills with the ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
• Ability to follow direction and the ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills (including both written and verbal).

Pre-Employment Requirements:
• Drug, Alcohol, Audiometric, and Audiometric pre-employment tests.
• Class 5 License with a clean five (5) year driver’s abstract (obtained within 30 days).
• Ability to provide proof of human resources credentials prior to the interview stage.
• Must successfully pass a Microsoft Office Proficiency examination.
